So while we continue to wait for the last two mixes from Dave, I decided to release another song from the 2011 sessions at Hotel2Tango with Bond Head and Jonathan, two of my former bandmates from Doughboys. This one was mixed by Howard and mastered by Ronan Chris Murphy and is a bit more melancholy and less heavy than the last one. It will also be a digital single, and will be released on January 27th, 2023.

I also asked RD Cane to take a stab at a video for it, so will be uploading that to the Scamindy Youtube channel in time for the release.

In the meantime, its -9 here in Vancouver, so I’m going to attempt to shovel out my car so I can get some provisions to get through Christmas!

So fingers crossed we actually are going to play some shows again!

Our pandemic drought of live rock has been going since Bowie Ball 2020, which is now two years ago officially. We’ve decided to forego that event this year, but have been keeping ourselves busy writing songs by text message (yes iphone voice recorder is the way to go for this), and we’ve actually finished a couple good ones at a legit studio as well, which we’ll debut live in March.

Our good buddy Chris Walter has been writing up a storm and has asked us to join La Chinga and Rebel Priest for a book launch at Lanalou’s. We’ve also been asked to support the Dreadnoughts Punkstravaganza again this year and, public health order willing, that’ll be our first time back at the Rickshaw.
